Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced today, Tuesday, that the State Security Service has apprehended a citizen affiliated with a banned group targeting the security of the State of Kuwait and undermining its fundamental systems.
The Kuwaiti ministry added in a press release today that investigations led to the apprehension of the suspect after monitoring and surveillance, revealing that he had received orders from the leadership of the terrorist group to manufacture explosives and carry out an operation targeting places of worship, and his attempts to recruit young individuals by joining groups in social media platforms particularly in online gaming to spread his misguided ideology and recruit them for terrorist organizations."
The ministry affirmed that it "stands guard, with full determination, against anyone daring to compromise the country's security or threaten the safety of society," noting that "the hand of justice will reach anyone who tampers with national security or targets its stability."
The ministry pointed out that security forces continue their fieldwork around the clock to protect lives and establish a secure environment governed by the law.
