Khaberni - Her Royal Highness Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, honored Arab Bank, represented by its Chairman Sabih Al-Masri, in appreciation of the platinum sponsorship provided by the bank for the Hussein Award for Cancer Research for the year 2025, and for their ongoing support to the mission of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center.
The Hussein Award for Cancer Research is granted annually to honor outstanding contributions in cancer research, to encourage efforts aimed at improving prevention and treatment methods, and to enhance research collaboration at both regional and international levels.
During the award ceremony, His Royal Highness Prince Talal bin Muhammad, on behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, and Her Royal Highness Princess Ghida, honored a selection of brilliant minds among Arab scientists and researchers, from among hundreds of applicants to the award from more than 26 countries, in recognition of their influential role in developing cancer research and advancing scientific progress.
The ceremony was attended by a number of royalty, ministers, and members of the award's board, composed of a selection of leading oncology specialists, physicians, and researchers from around the world, alongside academic figures, media personalities, and partners and supporters of the award.
The sponsorship of the Arab Bank for the award for the fifth consecutive year is part of its efforts in the field of corporate social responsibility, and stems from its commitment to supporting initiatives and efforts of the King Hussein Cancer Center, and enhancing scientific research efforts in the field of cancer across the Arab world.
