Khaberni - Media sources confirm that the director of the American Federal Bureau of Investigation, Kash Patel, is facing a wide wave of accusations of abuse of power, after he assigned a team from the SWAT unit, the FBI’s rapid intervention force, to protect his girlfriend, singer Alexis Wilkins, which is an unprecedented measure for a partner of a federal official not linked by marriage.

The accusations come after previous reports revealed Patel's use of a government plane to attend a concert in which Wilkins was performing, sparking widespread controversy over his use of state resources, according to international newspapers.

According to reports, Patel, who is 45 years old, has allocated a specialized protection team for his 27-year-old girlfriend, despite the fact that FBI officials' partners usually do not receive this type of official protection.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation responded to the criticisms by confirming that Wilkins had received "hundreds of death threats" since the announcement of her relationship with Patel, indicating that the protection was based on an assessment of documented threats.

The issue has sparked widespread debate among Americans, who have angrily commented on the idea of allocating government protection for a high official's girlfriend, considering it "an abuse of power, a waste of taxpayers' resources," with some sarcastically remarking, "Where do I sign up for SWAT protection? Is all I need to do is date a government official?"
