Khaberni - The match between Manchester United and Everton taking place at Old Trafford in round 12 of the English Premier League witnessed a controversial refereeing incident.
As the 13th minute approached during the match, Michael Keane and Idrissa Gueye, the Toffees duo, had a verbal altercation after one of the Red Devils’ attacks.
The altercation escalated into a minor physical clash between the two teammates, surprising the referee who then showed the Senegalese player the red card, citing his aggression towards his teammate.
Television footage showed that the players pushed each other, but the match official decided to penalize only Gueye, citing his slap to the face of the English defender.
The sending off came just 4 minutes after Everton coach David Moyes had made a forced substitution, following Seamus Coleman's injury, replacing him with Jack O'Brien.
