Khaberni - The team tasked with reviewing the documented clarifications at the Audit Bureau held its periodic meeting on Sunday, chaired by the Minister of State for Prime Minister Affairs Abdul Latif Al-Najdawi.
The team discussed during the meeting, which was held at the Prime Minister's office, the clarifications that were documented during the months of September and October, which accounted for 37 clarifications, registered against 18 entities and institutions.
Al-Najdawi revealed that one of the clarifications was referred to the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, concerning suspicions of tampering with the violations ledger in one of the directorates affiliated with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply in one of the provinces.
He also disclosed a violation related to the manufacturing of artifact replicas identical to the originals, without any regulatory controls or directives to regulate this process, contradicting the procedures of protection and documentation and increasing the risks of using these pieces, pointing out that the necessary actions have been taken to address it.
He explained that the rest of the clarifications included violations in several institutions related to conflict in duties and authorities, refusal to transfer due amounts to the treasury, discrepancies in financial values with the actual dues, delays in taking legal actions against violators, delays in delivering tenders, overlooking the operation of businesses without legal permits, and more.
They also included misconduct regarding the disbursement of allowances, rewards, compensation, and salaries, promotion and transfer of employees contrary to the regulations, working another job during official working hours, loss of documents and records that regulate work in some institutions, overlooking the collection of fees and charges due on certain transactions, and renting properties in one of the municipalities without conducting a public auction, confirming that the necessary actions have been taken to correct these violations and recover the amounts due to the treasury.
