Khaberni - Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated on the "X" platform today, Monday, that the ministry summoned the Israeli ambassador due to a post from the "Yad Vashem" foundation, which is concerned with commemorating the Holocaust.

Sikorski protested a post in which "Yad Vashem" stated that Poland was the first country to force Jews to wear a distinctive badge to isolate them from the surrounding population.

He added that the foundation should have clarified in the post that Poland was "occupied by Germany" at that time.

While the government in Poland recognizes that some Poles committed acts of blackmail against Jews to obtain rewards, it is keen on promoting the history of Poland as a victim.

The Polish government is proud that many Poles have been honored in Israel for saving Jews during World War II, more than the citizens of any other country in Europe. However, the relationship between Poles and Jews was complex during World War II.
