Jordan Education New school buildings provide an advanced educational environment with playgrounds and theaters

Khaberni - The Director of Buildings and International Projects at the Ministry of Education, Essam Abu Ahmada, said that the education sector is facing challenges, the most prominent of which are school overcrowding, rented schools, and the double shift system "morning and evening", in addition to old buildings that require construction solutions.

Abu Ahmada, in statements to "Al Mamlaka" channel on Monday evening, said that the ministry will not establish any new school unless in areas that are in dire need, confirming that expansion plans are based on accurate data about population growth and classroom density, adding that the selection of schools and their locations came according to the dire need and priorities, and there are justifications related to the educational process.

He revealed the construction of 19 new schools that will serve approximately 12,000 students across different provinces of the kingdom, expecting construction work on 3 schools to be completed next month, while 16 other schools will be completed by 2026.

He explained that these schools are part of the community responsibility project launched by the government last March, and supported by private sector institutions, which contributed to accelerating the pace of work and raising the readiness level of the new buildings.

Abu Ahmada confirmed that the new schools will be equipped with the latest educational technologies and will include fully air-conditioned classrooms, various courts and playgrounds to serve students, in addition to special facilities for teachers and administrators, theaters, and interactive boards.

He pointed out that the planned school buildings will be according to international standards, and will contain 309 classrooms and 15 kindergarten rooms, ensuring an advanced educational environment that responds to the needs of the students.

The government announced on Monday the construction of 19 schools, serving about 12,000 students across different provinces of the kingdom, within the framework of the community responsibility project launched by the government in March last year, which was supported by private sector institutions.
