Khaberni - The cities of Mersin and Diyarbakir in southern Turkey have experienced multiple poisoning cases, including 14 employees at a pasta factory and a woman with her child.

One of the pastry factories in Mersin, southern Turkey, experienced a mass poisoning incident, during which 14 employees working at a pasta factory suffered severe distress while performing their duties, necessitating their urgent hospitalization in critical health condition for necessary medical care.

According to local media reports, initial examinations indicated that the poisoning cases were due to pesticides, while medical teams continue to monitor the condition of the affected individuals in the hospital.

In a separate incident in the southeast of the country, a woman and her child suffered from food poisoning after eating a meal from one of the well-known stores in Diyarbakir.

The woman explained during the investigations that she had bought sausage sandwiches for herself and her son from the same store, and after eating, they felt severe malaise, which required their hospitalization for treatment. She accused the store of causing their health condition.

The Turkish authorities confirmed that extensive investigations are ongoing regarding these increasing incidents in recent days, indicating that legal actions will be taken against those responsible for these incidents after completing the investigations and determining the causes of the poisoning.

The relevant authorities continue to monitor the health status of the victims, following up on medical examination results and reports related to food safety in both areas.
