Khaberni - Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah participated yesterday in a charity dinner held at the Museum of Islamic Art in the Qatari capital Doha, which dedicated its proceeds to support preventive genomics research at the Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, attended by a large number of editors-in-chief and influential figures.

The dinner, held under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums’ Board of Trustees, coincided with Qatar's celebration of its half-century cultural journey as part of the "Nation of Development" initiative.

The dinner hosted representatives from the Qatar Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in design, fashion, and technology fields, and the Franca Sozzani Fund for Preventive Genomics which supports research aimed at using genetic information of individuals to predict future health risks, early detection of genetic diseases, and mitigating their effects or preventing them, diseases that affect millions of children and adults around the world.
