Khaberni - Representative Saleh Al-Armouti criticized the closure of the debate on the bill amending the Law of Shari’a Implementation for the year 2025, pointing to the humanitarian cases that the current law ignores.

Al-Armouti stated that there are divorced women or those in need who will be deprived of their fundamental rights by the law under discussion, emphasizing that the new law could provide alternatives such as wearing an electronic tag for debtors instead of imprisoning them, to ensure the collection of alimony and protect the beneficiaries in a more humane manner.

He stressed the need for the amendments to reflect the protection of rights without causing additional suffering to citizens.
