The delegations from Arab and international universities and educational and research institutions have begun arriving in Jordan to participate in The Times Higher Education Summit for Arab Universities 2025Khaberni -
(THE Arab Universities Summit 2025)
Hosted by Al-Ahliyya Amman University starting tomorrow until November 27, 2025, in collaboration with the Jordanian University.
This evening, a dinner party will be held in honor of the invitees, and tomorrow morning at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, the conference events will begin with the presence of Mr. Phil Baty, the Global Affairs Director of Times Higher Education, Prof. Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, and a crowd of faculty and administrative staff members of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, along with numerous academics from the Jordanian University and other Jordanian universities, as well as a select group of university presidents, policymakers, and researchers from various Arab and international countries.
The opening ceremony will include a welcoming speech by: Prof. Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University and Mr. Phil Baty, Global Affairs Director of Times Higher Education, followed by the conference events which will include the following speeches and themes:
• A speech by Mr. Phil Baty, Global Affairs Director of Times Higher Education about the commitment of Times Higher Education to transparency, integrity, and partnership.
• Then a speech by "Special Host", delivered by Prof. Ahmad Hamdan, Vice President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University under the title (Ready for the Future and United: Developing Vision and Implementing Strategy).
• Prof. Ibrahim Al-Hajiri, President of Khalifa University, will also present a vision on reimagining the Arab University: From Research to Leading Innovation.
This will be followed by a side chat about the digital future and artificial intelligence in academia.
• Concerning the axis of exam protection in the age of artificial intelligence: Prof. Amal Dimashqi, the Regional Director - Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey will speak
• This will be followed by an open dialogue on designing institutions to create change and impact, featuring the following professors :
* Juliette Rossel, correspondent.
* Victoria Lindsay, Vice President of the British University in Iraq.
* Yusra Mazouji, Dean of the University of Birmingham, Dubai.
• In the axis: From Campus to Commercial Marketing, the following professors will speak :
* Reem Al-Fayez, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the Jordanian University.
* Allam Ahmad, Founding President of the World Association for Sustainable Development.
* Abdullah Elias, Director of Rankings, Strategy, and Institutional Development - Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.
* Marcello Scalisi, Director of the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED).
• In a seminar on advanced data: Times Rankings for Arab Universities 2025, the professors will speak :
* Wael Mansour, Senior Customer Success Manager.
* Elsevierhana Peacock, Head of Impact Rankings for Times Higher Education.
• Regarding the axis of building a digital-first university strategy, the following professors will speak :
* Saeed Al-Dhaheri, Director of the Center for Future Studies, Dubai University.
