Khaberni - Meteorological specialists at the Arab Weather Center stated that the Kingdom and the region will enter, God willing, a state of atmospheric instability starting from the early dawn hours of Tuesday, 25/11/2025, and it will continue throughout the day, weakening during the night hours. This condition of atmospheric instability is due to the flow of a cold trough in the upper air layers along with an effective response from the Red Sea depression from the south, which leads to the formation of thunderclouds in random areas of the Kingdom, bringing rainfall of varying intensity accompanied by thunderstorms and possibly hail showers in some areas.

Several important things you need to know about the unstable weather condition:

The weather condition starts at dawn and morning on Tuesday and continues throughout the day, beginning to weaken and subside with night and dawn on Wednesday.
The condition is random in nature, which means that the rainfall will not be uniform in terms of time, location, and intensity.
The condition is associated with heavy rain within narrow geographical bands, and may be accompanied by hail.
The risks of floods, carried floods, and sudden floods increase in such conditions, especially in the Jordan Valley areas.
Rainfall is accompanied by thunderstorms and possibly lightning in some areas, especially in exposed areas.

What we mean by sudden floods and runoff floods:

Sudden Floods (Flash Floods):
These are floods that form very quickly after heavy rainfall in a limited area and within a short period.
They are considered the most dangerous type of floods because they occur suddenly, often sweeping away everything in their path including vehicles, people, or properties.
These floods usually occur in mountainous areas or slopes, or cities with poor drainage infrastructure, and rainfall is the direct cause of them.

Runoff Floods:
These are floods that reach an area from distant areas that have not experienced rainfall, meaning their source is usually from higher mountains towards valleys and lowlands.

These waters move through valley channels to reach low areas, and may surprise residents there despite the fact that their weather may be stable.
