Khaberni - A member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and Chairman of the Supreme Presidential Committee for Church Affairs, Ramzi Khoury, discussed with the Jordanian Ambassador to the State of Palestine, Issam Al-Badour, the arrangements for the glorious Christmas celebrations and the joint efforts to ensure their success, during their meeting today at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.

At the beginning of the meeting, Khoury praised the significant role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan under the leadership of King Abdullah II in supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause, as well as the efforts to protect Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem under the Hashemite custodianship, which President Mahmoud Abbas consistently emphasizes.

Khoury affirmed the ongoing coordination between the Jordanian and Palestinian leadership on various issues of mutual interest, particularly maintaining the historical status quo in Jerusalem and providing support for the holy sites.

The meeting also addressed the arrangements for this year's glorious Christmas celebrations, and the Jordanian-Palestinian cooperation to enhance religious tourism in Bethlehem and the Holy Land, contributing to supporting the resilience of its people.

Ambassador Al-Badour conveyed the greetings and congratulations of King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II to all celebrating the glorious festivities, wishing that this occasion brings tidings of peace and fulfills the aspirations of the Palestinian people for freedom and independence.

The ambassador emphasized the importance of continuing coordination between the two sides, stressing that the Jordanian leadership gives the Hashemite custodianship utmost attention and care to ensure the provision of support for the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
