Real Madrid Announces Continuation of the War on UEFA

Khaberni - In a fiery speech that shook the foundations of the Real Madrid general assembly, Florentino Perez, the president of the royal club, elaborated on intricate matters occupying the soccer public’s opinion. "El Tiburon" did not only defend the "Super League" project, but also launched a sweeping attack against the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, and the traditional rival Barcelona.

Perez clearly announced his club's intention to move forward with launching the "European Super League," describing it as the "gateway to the future." In an unprecedented escalation, he revealed the initiation of legal proceedings to demand substantial financial compensations from "UEFA" for what he called "the damages inflicted on the club," basing this on the judicial rulings granting clubs the freedom to organize competitions.

Perez stated in a defiant tone: "We stand on equal footing with UEFA and no one can threaten us... We have begun the process of claiming compensation for past damages, and we will continue to push forward to launch the championship of the future." He also mocked the failed negotiations: "They (UEFA) do not allow us to operate freely, instead, they force us to give up any legal claims."

The veteran president did not spare Javier Tebas, president of "LaLiga," from his barrage of criticism, accusing him of "distorting the competition" and "authoritarian behavior." This attack came against the backdrop of Tebas’s desperate attempts to hold the Barcelona vs. Villarreal match in Miami, USA, which Perez considered "unnatural" and detrimental to the principle of equal opportunities. He also ridiculed Tebas's comparison of this match to an American football (NFL) game hosted at the Bernabeu, calling it "absurd."

In the context of speaking about the Catalan rival, Perez once again opened fire on the "Negreira" issue, criticizing Barcelona's continued financial payments to the vice president of the referee committee for 17 years. He asked incredulously, "It is not normal for Barcelona to pay more than 8 million euros... and it is noteworthy that this period coincided with their best results."

Apart from the clamor of administrative battles, the president did not forget to honor the icons of the club who have departed its ranks, including the legendary Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti and the Croatian maestro Luka Modric. Perez described Ancelotti as "the most decorated coach," with 15 titles, and he lavished praise on Modric, "the eternal player" and the most trophy-laden in the history of the club with 28 titles, affirming that Madrid will always be a home for them.
