Khaberni - Karak Municipality started, on Sunday, setting up a central operations room dedicated to crisis and emergency management, equipped with wireless communication devices, maps, interactive panels, and a shift system operating around the clock to enhance its readiness to handle crises.
The head of the municipal committee, Mohammed Al-Manaseer, said that the room has been equipped with a live and advanced map system that enables monitoring the locations of culverts, valleys, main streets, and sensitive areas, which allows emergency teams to respond quickly and enhance field handling efficiency during weather situations and exceptional conditions.
He added that the operations room will be linked with all relevant official agencies, making it an effective coordination center that facilitates information management and unifies efforts during emergencies, which enhances readiness and speeds up field procedures.
