The spokesperson for the Ministry of Higher Education, Mohannad Al-Khatib, outlined the conditions for student competition for internal scholarships and loans provided by the University Student Support Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
He explained that the conditions are:
• The student must be Jordanian national, holding a Jordanian national number, thus children of Jordanian women cannot benefit
• The student must be enrolled in a diploma or bachelor's degree in the regular program at one of the Jordanian public universities/colleges, and at his own expense, thus parallel program students, private university students, or postgraduate students cannot benefit.
• The student must not have benefited or previously benefitted from a full scholarship from any entity at the time of application or thereafter, or benefited from a discount regardless of its percentage.
• The student's GPA in the previous semester at the time of application must not be less than (2) out of (4), or less than (60%) or a pass grade or equivalent, except for the student accepted in the first semester of his studies, for whom the high school diploma grade is considered.
• The student must not have a disciplinary warning or higher sanction in effect at the time of application.
• Students of non-technical / applied community college diploma programs are not allowed to apply for internal scholarships and loans, thus students of humanities specializations, for example, cannot benefit.
