Khaberni - Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized an introductory meeting for new faculty members for the academic year 2025/2026, attended by the university president, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Majali, the vice president Prof. Dr. Tariq Al-Qarm, alongside the deans of scientific and humanities colleges, directors of departments, and a number of teaching and administrative staff members.
The university president, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Majali expressed during the meeting his pride in welcoming a new elite group of faculty members to the university family, emphasizing that the university relies on their experiences and competencies to enhance the academic and research development. Al-Majali clarified that Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan is moving steadily towards leadership by adopting strategic plans based on innovation, quality, and aligning educational outcomes with the needs of the local and regional job market. He stressed that faculty members are the main pillar in this system, and their role extends beyond the classroom to include contributing to research production, community service, and guiding students towards excellence and creativity.
Al-Majali also invited new faculty members to embrace modern educational experiences, actively participate in development projects, and build a stimulating educational environment that presents knowledge in innovative ways, affirming the university administration’s commitment to providing supportive conditions and empowering academic competencies, thereby enhancing the university's reputation and its standing locally and regionally.
In his turn, the vice president emphasized the importance of active engagement in academic and research activities, and cooperation among colleges to enhance educational outcomes and keep pace with modern developments in various specialties. He also reviewed the academic and administrative policies that contribute to supporting faculty members and facilitating their tasks.
Additionally, deans of colleges offered welcoming speeches, affirming their readiness to provide academic and administrative support to new members, and the colleges’ commitment to providing a comprehensive educational environment that enables them to perform their roles optimally, as well as highlighting the academic and development plans the university is implementing in the next phase.
It is noted that this meeting is part of the university's efforts to enhance internal communication, and activate the role of faculty members in supporting development plans in academia and scientific research in line with the university’s vision and mission.
