Khaberni - The House of Senators, chaired by Faisal Al-Fayez, approved in a legislative session on Sunday, the amended bill for the Military Service and Reserve Service Law for the year 2025.
The Legal Committee in the House of Senators, approved on Thursday the amended bill for the Military Service and Reserve Service Law for the year 2025, as received from the House of Representatives, during a meeting held in the presence of the Minister of Justice Basem Talhouni, and the Minister of State for Legal Affairs Fayad Al-Qadi.
The motivating reasons for "Khaberni," are to organize provisions related to some newly required legal aspects, to activate and implement the Military Service program, the acceptable cases for its postponement, and to enable the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army to offer training programs in military centers and institutes to the conscripts, so that the relevant educational authorities may count it towards the academic requirements for university students in accordance with instructions issued by the Cabinet for this purpose, and similarly count it towards the requirements and duties of military service.
Alongside the cancellation of provisions that grant conscripts who complete their military service any priority in appointments in ministries, departments, governmental and private companies, and institutions.
