Khaberni - As part of the ongoing efforts by Amman Arab University to support innovation and technical excellence and to boost young people's participation in leading technological events, the university hosted the closing ceremony for the "UNI Agents Hackathon", which is one of the largest Arab competitions specialized in artificial intelligence and the development of intelligent agents (AI Agents), with the participation of over 300 competitors from 24 Arab countries, along with a selection of students, programmers, and technology leaders from various parts of the Arab world.
The hackathon was organized by the IEEE branch at Tafila Technical University (IEEE TTU) in cooperation with Leap Company, and with a distinctive organizational contribution from the IEEE branch at Amman Arab University (IEEE AAU), which played an active role in coordinating the closing ceremony and ensuring the success of its events on the university campus, where the hackathon extended over several days and included advanced training workshops presented by Engineer Mohammed Al-Hawarin and a number of artificial intelligence experts, aimed at developing participants' skills in building intelligent agents and applying artificial intelligence in addressing real-world challenges.
In this regard, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian, President of Amman Arab University, emphasized the importance of the university's role in hosting such pioneering events that enhance innovation and creativity among the youth, and support the universities' role in technological leadership and artificial intelligence at the regional level, stressing the continued commitment of Amman Arab University to open its doors for unique initiatives that enhance the competitiveness of students and expand their horizons in modern technology fields.
In her role, Dr. Layal Al-Zoubi, advisor to the IEEE-AAU branch and Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at Amman Arab University, pointed out that the closing ceremony included diverse segments that highlighted the capabilities of the participating teams and the outputs of the projects developed during the hackathon days, amid notable interaction from the audience. Dr. Mohammad Bin Tarif, Dean of Student Affairs at Amman Arab University, noted that hosting the closing ceremony reflects the university's dedication to supporting quality student activities and enhancing student participation in regional and international technological events, expressing his appreciation for the efforts of the IEEE AAU teams and their vital role in organizing the event.
It is worth mentioning that the UNI Agents Hackathon aims to enhance creativity and innovation among Arab youth, and to build an enabling environment for developing their skills in artificial intelligence and machine learning, in addition to enhancing communication between students, experts, and business leaders in the technical sector.
In conclusion, Tafila Technical University extended its thanks to Amman Arab University for the outstanding hosting, and to all participating and organizing entities for their significant efforts in making this prominent Arab event a success.
