Khaberni - The Arab Bank, in cooperation with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, has launched a specialized training program aimed at enhancing the financial awareness of women with disabilities. This initiative is part of the bank’s continuous efforts in the fields of sustainability and corporate responsibility, and aligns with its role in advancing financial inclusion principles, supporting persons with disabilities, empowering women, and enhancing their effective involvement across various dimensions.
This training program, which was implemented at the headquarters of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, aims to equip about 20 women with disabilities with basic financial knowledge and practical skills necessary to manage their financial affairs confidently and consciously. The program covered various aspects, including proper financial planning, decision-making mechanisms for thoughtful financial decisions, and establishing a culture of prudent consumption, along with introducing them to key financial and digital products, services, types of accounts, cards, and different banking solutions and how to benefit from them. The training content also included a simplified explanation of the role of financial technology in the development of banking work, the concept of cybersecurity, and methods of protection against its risks, in addition to a set of financial guidance and tips.
This collaboration stems from the bank’s commitment to developing quality initiatives that contribute to empowering persons with disabilities, enhancing their financial awareness by providing them with the knowledge and tools that support their development and expand their participation in various aspects of life. This contributes to enabling them to support the economic stability of their families and play an effective role in the journey of sustainable development.
It is worth mentioning here that the Arab Bank adopts a comprehensive and integrated strategy in terms of sustainability and corporate responsibility, reflecting the bank's commitment to enhancing its economic, social, and environmental impact by working closely with various stakeholders to achieve sustainable development.
