Free AI Tools from Microsoft Transform the Way We Use Office

Khaberni - In a move reflecting the tech arm's race among technology giants, Microsoft announced a new wave of artificial intelligence features built into the "Microsoft Office" suite, including: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, which will be entirely free and not exclusive to subscribers of the paid Microsoft 365 Copilot service.

The updates revealed by the company in an official post represent a significant shift in how users interact with daily Office applications, whether inside work environments or beyond, according to "Thomas Guide".

A smarter and more advanced version of Copilot
Microsoft is focusing on enhancing the role of "Copilot" within its core applications, turning it into a personal assistant capable of performing complex tasks automatically.

In "Outlook", "Copilot" will be able to analyze the entire mailbox, including messages, appointments, and meetings, to help the user keep track of important emails, organize your day, and prepare for meetings.

Full voice support
Soon, the user will be able to ask "Copilot" vocally about their daily priorities and what they missed in recent meetings, and receive immediate answers based on their account data.

These capabilities are very similar to what Google has started to offer through "Gemini", but are now directly integrated into Office, giving millions of users powerful tools at no additional cost.

"Agent".. AI that performs tasks on your behalf
Among the most exciting features, Microsoft announced the expansion of the "Agent Mode" feature, which was previously available only to paid subscription clients.

And now with the new updates, the feature will be available to everyone within "Word", "Excel", and "PowerPoint".

This artificial intelligence function can perform tasks entirely on behalf of the user, including: creating complex "Excel" files, writing professional documents based on a few lines, developing complete presentation decks, updating existing presentations, and linking tasks between applications automatically, with the option to choose the intelligence model used, whether "Cloud" or "Chat GPT".

Official launch in March 2026
Microsoft plans to make the new updates available globally by March 2026, a direct step to compete with "Google", which continues to enhance the capabilities of its smart system "Gemini" across the "G Suite" package, including Google Docs, Spreadsheet, and Gmail.

At a time when Google has announced "Gemini 3" recently, the giant from Redmond seeks to provide a strong alternative within Office, which remains the most widespread system in the business sector around the world.
