Meanwhile, a source close to the singer revealed that she is currently at her home suffering from severe depression, to the extent that she has confined herself to her room and refused to meet anyone during the past period, according to Al Arabiya

The source also added that Sherine is suffering from excess weight that prevented her from appearing in the past weeks, noting that she "received an offer to perform a concert in Egypt, and she apologized to the organizers".
He explained that she suspended her artistic activity completely, and asked her team to cancel all her commitments for the current period until further notice.
Furthermore, he confirmed that Sherine is "almost completely cut off from the outside world, to the extent that she does not follow social media, and allows no one to enter her room except her two daughters only when they want to see her and talk to her, although this happens only occasionally".
The source also mentioned that the famous artist discontinued her treatment during the past period and refused to complete it, as there was a problem between her and the medical team treating her, but things have somewhat stabilized a few days ago, and she is supposed to resume her treatment soon so she can continue working on her new album.
