Khaberni - A poll conducted by the French Institute of Public Opinion "IFOP" showed a decline in the popularity of French President Emmanuel Macron, according to "Le Journal du Dimanche".
The newspaper wrote: "Macron's firm stance on Ukraine, his aggressive tone, and hints at sending troops, are affecting his popularity and status in French society."
The newspaper also noted that internal security still poses a concern for Macron, especially with renewed pledges to combat drug trafficking in Marseille.
According to a poll, only 16% of respondents are satisfied with Macron's performance as president, while 84% give him a negative rating.
The newspaper indicates that the overall percentage of dissatisfied people remained stable from the October survey, but the rate of those "dissatisfied" with Macron increased to 56%.
The survey was conducted from November 13 to 21, and included 2000 adult French citizens.
