Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality has completed the development of a comprehensive system to regulate valet parking services within the limits of the Municipality, according to Mohammad Al-Faouri, Deputy City Director for Districts and Environment Affairs at the Municipality.
Al-Faouri said on Saturday that the new system is part of the efforts of the Greater Amman Municipality to improve services provided to citizens and ensure the professional and safe organization of this service.
He elaborated that within a month from now, at the latest, doors will be opened for submitting applications for licensing venues that provide valet parking services. He added that the Municipality will set specific standards to regulate the valet parking service, in partnership with relevant agencies such as the Civil Defense, Capital Governorate, and the Public Security Directorate, in order to ensure the service is provided according to terms that protect the citizens' interests.
He confirmed that using public streets for providing valet services is prohibited, which is one of the essential conditions set by the Municipality. The service provider, whether a business owner or a licensed company, must own or lease a duly licensed land for vehicle parking purposes.
Al-Faouri pointed out that this regulation aims to improve the quality of service provided to citizens, provide a safe and efficient traffic environment, in addition to preserving the organization of the city and the comfort of its residents.
