Khaberni - The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the detection of (22,094) violations of residency, employment, and border security systems across the Kingdom within a week.
The ministry stated that the joint field campaigns aimed at monitoring and controlling violations of residency, employment, and border security systems, which were conducted in all regions of the Kingdom from 05/22/1447 AH corresponding to 11/13/2025 to 28/05/1447 AH corresponding to 11/19/2025, resulted in the following outcomes:
Firstly: The total number of violators apprehended in the joint security field campaigns across all regions of the Kingdom was (22,094), of whom (13,750) were for violating the residency system, (4,720) for the border security system, and (3,624) for the employment system.
Secondly: The total number of those apprehended while attempting to cross the borders into the Kingdom was (1,867) persons, (34%) of them were Yemeni nationals, (65%) were Ethiopian nationals, and other nationalities (1%), and (29) people were apprehended for trying to cross the borders out of the Kingdom in an illegal manner.
Thirdly: (32) individuals were apprehended for transporting, harboring, and employing those violating the systems of residency, employment, and border security, and for covering up these violations.
Fourthly: The total number of those currently subjected to the enforcement procedures is (30,055) violating expatriates, of whom (28,469) are men, and (1,586) are women.
Fifthly: (21,856) violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, and (4,555) violators were referred to complete their travel bookings, and (14,206) violators were deported.
The Ministry of Interior affirmed that anyone who facilitates the entry into the Kingdom of those violating the border security system, or transports them within it, or provides shelter or any form of assistance or service, exposes themselves to penalties including up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to one million riyals, confiscation of the transportation and accommodation used for sheltering, in addition to public defamation.
The ministry clarified that this crime is considered a major crime warranting detention, and it impacts honor and trust, urging reporting of any violation cases on number (911) in the regions of Mecca, Medina, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.
