Doctors Without Borders warns of the collapse of the humanitarian situation in Gaza

Khaberni - The emergency coordinator for "Doctors Without Borders" in Gaza, Frantz Love, pointed out that the volume of humanitarian aid reaching the sector is still below the required level, despite the ceasefire.

Love warned in a press briefing that the lack of improvement in the situation would force the residents of Gaza to face harsh winter conditions once again.

He explained that the ceasefire announced on October 10 did not end the suffering of civilians, noting that Palestinian casualties continue due to ongoing Israeli breaches.

He added that the current calm is fragile and that the flow of aid remains limited despite the relative improvement in field conditions.

He noted that most attacks come from the area which the Israeli army calls "the yellow line" in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza Strip.

He emphasized that people do not know exactly the location of "the yellow line," adding, "Two days ago, fire was shot from a helicopter near our health center in Mawasi, we do not know where they were shooting, what we do know is that such incidents occur near that line, and sometimes even outside it."

Love pointed out that humanitarian aid has almost completely stopped since the beginning of the ceasefire, confirming that not a single health facility is operating at full capacity in the Gaza Strip.

He emphasized the need to significantly increase medical and humanitarian aid to ensure the maintenance of the facilities they operate and other vehicles.

He continued, "With the ceasefire, people are upset about not having enough tents required for protection against rain and cold."

He called on the international community and countries that can influence Israel to press the latter to allow the entry of necessary materials into Gaza.
