Khaberni - The qualifying events for the Commander's Birthday five-a-side sports football tournament concluded in Aqaba, witnessing strong competition among the participating teams. Four teams have qualified to the golden square, namely: Amman, Zarqa, Ajloun, and Balqa, to compete in the final stage scheduled to be held in January 2026, as part of the 22nd Commander’s Birthday Sports Tournament.

The competition took place in a passionate atmosphere filled with fervor and high sportsmanship among colleagues from various directorates across the kingdom. A total of 14 clubs and sports teams participated in the qualifiers, in addition to the Ministry of Education’s team.

On this occasion, the Director of Club Directorate, Mr. Ibrahim Assaf, stated, "We in the Teachers Clubs and the Ministry of Education affirm our full support to the teachers' clubs nationwide, continuing their sports, professional, cultural, and social journey. We are fully prepared to offer services to colleagues in the educational field."

On the other hand, the Director of Educational Activities Management, Dr. Abdulhakeem Al-Shawabkeh, added that this sports event represents a distinctive activity that brings together teachers and administrative staff from various clubs. The Commander's Birthday Sports Tournament occurs at this time of the year, embodying the spirit of brotherhood and love, reinforcing positive communication and the exchange of experiences among colleagues.

It is worth mentioning that the importance of this sports tournament extends beyond just the competitive aspect, to enhancing the significance of sports in society and its role in building a healthy and aware generation. Sports contribute to personal and social skills development, reinforce teamwork values and sportsmanship, and serve as an effective means of self-expression and boosting self-confidence.

In conclusion, thanks and appreciation were extended to King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, may God protect him and keep him safe, for his continuous support for sports and youth. Thanks were also directed to the Ministry of Education for its ongoing support of the teachers' clubs.
