Khaberni - The Board of Directors of Kingdom Electricity for Energy Investments has decided to assign energy expert Raed Al-Aaraj to the role of the company's CEO.
Al-Aaraj holds a master's degree in Energy Engineering with distinction from the University of Michigan in the United States, in addition to a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university with distinction.
Al-Aaraj has over three decades of professional experience in the fields of energy, infrastructure, and institutional transformation. He currently holds the position of board member at Kingdom Investment for Energy, affiliated with the Social Security Investment Fund. He has experience in improving performance indicators, reducing technical and non-technical losses, and enhancing network reliability, in addition to introducing artificial intelligence solutions in analyzing electrical losses.
He also founded and chaired the United States-based company, Lanista Inc., which specializes in developing robotics technologies supported by artificial intelligence, and has extensive experience in the oil, gas, and shale industries through his role in founding both international and local companies, as well as managing and executing major strategic projects, notably the Aqaba Electric Power Station project in cooperation with the global company ABB.
Al-Aaraj contributed to formulating national visions in the energy sector through his work as a principal expert in the State of the Nation report issued by the Jordanian Economic and Social Council, providing recommendations related to energy efficiency, infrastructure sustainability, and national energy transformation.
