Khaberni - Zain Jordan provided sponsorship for the activities of the Jordanian-Syrian Telecommunications and Information Technology Forum, which concluded its activities yesterday in the Syrian capital, Damascus, organized by the Information Technology and Telecommunications Companies Association 'Intaj', in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, and the Syrian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, attended by a wide array of representatives from the telecommunications and technology sectors of both countries.
Zain's sponsorship of this event was part of its commitment to contributing to the development of the digital economy system, enhancing regional cooperation, supporting Jordanian efforts to expand investment partnerships and encouraging national companies to explore new markets, in addition to exploring future cooperation opportunities in the fields of modern technology and digital transformation, and enhancing networking and exchange of expertise between Jordanian companies and their Syrian counterparts.
The forum served as an important venue for networking between experts and companies, with more than 80 Jordanian companies participating in fields such as telecommunications, digital transformation, cyber security, and electronic payment solutions. From the Syrian side, approximately 75 companies and technical experts from the sector participated.
The forum coincided with the opening of the eleventh session of the Information Technology and Telecommunications Exhibition in Damascus, where an expanded Jordanian pavilion included Jordanian companies participating in the forum, among a participation of more than 250 Arab and international companies from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Lebanon, as well as international companies working in the fields of technology, telecommunications, and digital transformation.
The program included a ministerial dialogue session that discussed the reality of the telecommunications and technology sector in both countries, along with technical presentations by Intaj and the Syrian side, which provided an opportunity to explore the Syrian market requirements and potential opportunities for partnership and collaboration. The forum also featured bilateral meetings that brought together representatives of the public and private sectors, focusing on fostering future cooperation and enabling Jordanian companies to showcase their capabilities and solutions, in addition to discussing opportunities for joint projects that could unite entrepreneurs from both sides.
