Khaberni - The Minister of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badour, inaugurated today, Saturday, the Madaba Camp Primary Health Center, in the presence of Madaba Governor Hassan Al-Jabour and a number of deputies, dignitaries, and members of the Decentralization Council in the governorate, emphasizing his commitment to enhancing the level of health services provided to the residents of the camp.
Al-Badour explained that the health center would be the patient's gateway in the health system, serving as the first line of defense for citizen health and the cornerstone for alleviating pressure on hospitals and ensuring access to nearby, fast, and effective medical services.
He added that this step is part of the efforts of the Ministry of Health to implement the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II aimed at improving the quality of healthcare throughout various regions of the kingdom, by building modern health centers that meet the needs of citizens and provide a suitable environment for patients and medical staff.
He assured that the ministry is continuing to develop the infrastructure of health centers, replacing rented and dilapidated buildings with permanent facilities characterized by efficiency and sustainability, which ensures a better operational environment and enhances the level of service provided to citizens within an integrated healthcare system.
The establishment of the Madaba Camp Primary Health Center aims to meet the health needs of the camp's residents, where it will provide effective primary care services including general medicine, family medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, dentistry, as well as maternity and child care services, and houses a medical laboratory, pharmacy, medical records, accounting units, and storage facilities.
The center, which was funded by the Decentralization budget at a cost of 925,000 dinars, spans an area of 950 square meters distributed over two floors, serving about 20,000 people, with an average of 5,000 visitors per month.
