Khaberni - The Amman Chamber of Commerce, represented by the Vice President of the Chamber Nabil Al-Khatib and Board Member Khatib Al-Banna, participated in the International Mobility Days 2025 conference, which was hosted by the Austrian capital Vienna during the period from November 19 to 21, 2025, organized by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (Advantage Austria) in collaboration with Enterprise Europe Network Austria and several international institutions focused on mobility and technology.
According to a statement by the Chamber today, Saturday, this year's conference is held under the theme "Mobility in Transformation", with the participation of more than 1000 experts and specialists from over 60 countries, representing government institutions, major companies, and global research centers, aiming to showcase the latest developments in the transport sector and sustainable and intelligent mobility.
During his participation as a speaker in one of the conference's main sessions, Al-Khatib discussed the global transformation in the transport sector, affirming that the world is currently experiencing a rapid race towards digitization and the adoption of smart technologies in managing commercial movement.
Al-Khatib stated that the transport sector no longer relies solely on traditional infrastructure but on integrated systems that use digital analysis, artificial intelligence, and momentary tracking to enhance the efficiency of supply chains."
He added that the flexibility of supply chains has become a decisive factor in the ability of countries and companies to deal with repeated global disruptions. He explained that "digital transformation in transport, ports, and logistic services is no longer optional but fundamental to ensuring the sustainability of supply operations, reducing costs, and improving delivery times."
He emphasized that international experiences have proven that countries investing in modern technology are better positioned to enhance their economic competitiveness in the long term. Al-Khatib also referred to the Jordanian experience in developing the transport and logistic services sector, affirming that Jordan possesses strong capabilities that qualify it to become a regional hub for goods and services movement.
He continued, "We have a unique strategic location that connects the Levant, the Gulf, and North Africa, along with an active private sector and qualified human resources, pointing out that what is needed today is the acceleration of smart connection projects and the enhancement of integration among ports, airports, and logistic centers."
Al-Khatib pointed out that the Chamber's participation in the International Mobility Days 2025 conference is part of its efforts to enhance international partnerships and benefit from European experiences in the areas of green transport, smart fleet management, and sustainable infrastructure, emphasizing that the conference serves as "an important platform for building new bridges of cooperation serving the Jordanian trade."
The conference also featured an international exhibition showcasing the latest technologies and innovations in smart mobility, electric vehicles, sustainable charging, advanced infrastructure, and smart city solutions.
The conference also organized B2B (Business to Business) meetings, facilitating the formation of new partnerships and the exchange of expertise among participating companies and institutions from various countries.
The event also included demonstrations of projects by leading companies, lectures and panel discussions by international experts, along with case studies on successful innovation experiences, as well as field trips and technical visits to a number of specialized facilities in the city of Vienna.
