Libyan content creator Khansa Mujahid was shot on Friday evening by unknown gunmen while inside her car in the Al-Sarraj area west of the capital, Tripoli, resulting in her death in a crime that shocked Libyans.

Videos circulating on social media showed bullet marks on the car's glass, and the blogger appeared lying on the ground after she had died from her injuries, with the motives and responsible party for the crime still unclear.
According to one witness's account in a video, Khansa tried to escape and get out of the car when the shooting started, but she was targeted. He noted that her car remained running for a long time after her death.
Khansa Mujahid, a famous content creator on social networks in Libya, especially among women, was interested in fashion and beauty, owned a women's clothing business, and also had a beauty salon. She was also the wife of Moaz Al-Manfookh, a leader in Zawiya and a former member of the political dialogue committee.
Libyans were shocked by the news of blogger Khansa Mujahid's assassination, which sparked many reactions on social media, condemning the targeting of activists. Users expressed their outrage and concern about the repeated crimes committed without arresting the perpetrators.
The National Human Rights Institution stated that initial information indicates that the killing aimed to target her husband, a member of the political dialogue committee Moaz Al-Manfookh, as the targeted car was mostly driven by him. It involved elements outside the law affiliated with the General Security apparatus and security positions under the Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity in the murder operation.
Open a comprehensive investigation
The institution demanded in a statement a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances and conditions of the incident and to ensure uncovering the identity of the culprits involved in this crime, ensuring their prosecution and bringing them to justice.
In contrast, the Minister of Interior, Imad Al-Trabulsi, instructed the security and criminal agencies to open an investigation into the incident of the killing of Khansa Mujahid, by forming a team of specialists and leveraging all available resources for research, investigation, and collection of information leading to the apprehension of the perpetrators and their referral to the judiciary, as reported by Al Arabiya Net.
