Khaberni - Arab visitors topped the list of highest-spending international visitors in Jordan during the first ten months of the current year, with a total expenditure of 2.222 billion dinars, constituting 55% of the total number of international visitors, who totaled 5.923 million, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

The expenditure of Jordanians residing abroad during the same period amounted to 1.459 billion dinars, while foreign visitors spent 965 million dinars.

The Jordanian tourism sector is witnessing a gradual recovery after being affected by the repercussions of the Israeli aggression on Gaza that lasted for two years, which negatively impacted the region and led to the cancellation of hotel bookings and flights.

The Central Bank announced an increase in tourism income by 6.5% during the first ten months of the current year, reaching 6.553 billion dollars, driven by a 14.1% increase in the number of tourists.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities continues to implement the targets of the economic modernization vision, which focuses on enhancing Jordan's competitiveness as a tourist destination, diversifying the product, empowering local communities, and expanding the economic impact of the tourism sector.
