11 Players Anticipated to be Excluded from the Jordanian National Team

Khaberni - Jordanian football fans are eagerly anticipating the decision of Jamal Salami, coach of the Jordan national football team, who will announce the list of players participating in the Arab Cup which kicks off in Qatar, from December 1 to 18.

The Jordanian team will compete in Group Three of the Arab Cup, which includes Egypt and the UAE, as well as the winner of the match between Kuwait and Mauritania.

The Jordan team finished its November camp, during which it played two friendly matches; the first against host Tunisia, which it lost 3-2, and then drew with Mali 0-0.

The two matches gave Jamal Salami, coach of the Jordanian team, a complete view to finalize his choices for the players participating in the Arab Cup, as he is expected to announce the 23-player list a few hours from today, Friday.

Salami will exclude 8 players, as there were 31 players in the team's camp held in Tunisia. Musa Al-Taamari will be among the notable absentees due to his commitments with his club, Stade Rennais in France, hence unable to participate in the Arab Cup.

Selecting the Jordanian national team's roster will not be easy for Jamal Salami. Before announcing it, he will check on the condition of players who missed the Tunisia camp, and see if they can participate in the Arab Cup if they recover from injury. Mahmoud Marzouq, Ali Alwan, and Ibrahim Sabra missed the Jordanian team's camp in Tunisia; the first has recently joined his club, Dibba Al-Fujairah in the UAE, suggesting his return to the national team list. Adding these three players to the current list will increase the number of players from 31 to 34, subsequently leading to the exclusion of 11 players, thus reducing the list to 23 players aiming to participate in the Arab Cup 2025.

Jamal Salami is likely to call up Mahmoud Marzouq, Ali Alwan, Yazid Bou Laila, Noor Bani Atiyah, Malek Shelbaieh, Abdullah Nassib, Hossam Abu Zehab, Saleem Obeid, Saad Al-Rosan, Mohannad Abu Taha, Mohammad Abu Hashish, Adham Al-Qarashi, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Rajai Ayed, Ibrahim Sa'adeh, Amer Jamous, Ali Ezzayzeh, Mohammad Abu Zeriq "Sharara", Ahmad Al-Ersan, Abdullah Awad, and Yazan Al-Naimat. Khaberni. Clearly, Salami will exclude players who are committed with their teams in Europe and Malaysia: Musa Al-Taamari, Mohammad Abu Al-Nadi, Noor Al-Rawabdeh, Ibrahim Sabra, and Tamer Bani Oudeh, while the fate of Yazan Al-Arab, whose contract with Seoul of South Korea expires next month, has not yet been determined.
Salami will have to exclude some defenders who he has not relied on much in recent matches, such as Hadi Al-Hourani and Jafar Samarah, and he might have to choose between returning players, Fakhouri and Aref Al-Haj.
