Khaberni - Journalist Florian Plettenberg from the "Sky Sports" network revealed on his "X" platform account today, Thursday, that there is a mutual desire between Real Madrid and the German defender Antonio Rudiger to extend his current contract which ends in the summer of 2026.
The report indicated that discussions about the renewal have been temporarily frozen due to the player's injury, with the club currently focusing on his return to the field before resuming negotiations.
In related news, Plettenberg confirmed that Saudi interest in the player remains strong, and that a return to the Premier League remains an option for Rudiger if an agreement with the "Royal" club is not reached.
