Trump may prevent Haiti and Iran fans from attending the 2026 World Cup

Khaberni - The teams of Haiti and Iran, who have secured their qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, might find themselves without their fans in the stands during the tournament hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, due to the travel restrictions imposed by a ban issued by US President Donald Trump. Press reports indicate that according to the presidential decree, the ban does not include the official delegations participating in major tournaments such as players, coaches, technical staff, and support workers, but it restricts the entry of most fans coming from the countries listed in the ban, including Haiti and Iran, which could hinder the arrival of thousands of fans of the two teams to American soil. According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", the current decree could actually cause significant difficulties for fans of Haiti and Iran who wish to accompany their teams during the World Cup, despite allowing official delegations to participate. The newspaper adds that the decision raises questions about how "FIFA" will handle the restrictions imposed on the fans of qualified teams, in a tournament that for the first time hosts 48 teams, while the draw for the group stage is expected to be held on December 5th in Washington.
