Khaberni - A Jordanian broadcaster working at a television institution sparked widespread anger and disapproval in educational and pedagogical circles after committing a professional and ethical blunder on air, going as far as mocking and disparaging female teachers.
This occurred during a discussion about teachers screaming at students, where the broadcaster mimicked the sound of "barking," comparing it to the voices of some teachers, in an offense many considered an unacceptable transgression against those working in the educational field.
In the first official response, Dr. Nawaf Al-Ajarmeh, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, said on Thursday, "The voice of a teacher is like the voice of a muezzin; both awaken awareness and guide minds."
Al-Ajarmeh added in a post on his official Facebook page: "Insulting a teacher is an assault on the virtue that nations were built on," emphasizing that "the status of a teacher is not shaken by the barking of the insolent."
