Khaberni - The president of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, honored the university team that won second place at the level of Jordanian universities and first place in the advanced web category in the IEEE Jordan Cybersecurity 2025 competition.
These results were achieved in the current edition organized by
IEEE Jordan CS & CIS Joint Chapter and IEEE Jordan Cybersecurity Group
with the participation of more than 25 Jordanian universities and over 100 student teams.
The preparation of the university team was overseen by:
• Prof. Dr. Mohammad Qattawoneh – Dean of the College of Information Technology
• Dr. Ahmad Sami Al-Shamayleh – Head of the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
• Instructor Nida’ Al-Shafi'i
• Cybersecurity Analyst Mr. Hussein Al-Zaghaiteet
The university participated with two teams from the College of Information Technology, which included the following students:
Mohammad Khader Abu Khas, Amer Salameh Al-Assaf, Shahin Hassan Al-Sabani, Herad Hakob Muradian, Ayham Al-Masri, Tareq Abdul Ghani, Noor Al-Deen Al-Azzam.
Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, the president of the university, emphasized that this achievement reflects the advanced level of the university students in the field of cybersecurity and demonstrates the quality of academic and practical training provided by the college, noting that the university continues to support its students and enhance their participation in specialized competitions at both the national and international levels.
