Jordan Customs seize large quantities of smuggled and expired goods

Khaberni - The customs staff working in the Anti-Smuggling Directorate, in cooperation with security agencies, managed to seize large quantities of smuggled and expired goods based on precise intelligence.

The seized items included 150,000 pills of sexual stimulants, 918 fireworks, 70 stun devices of various types, empty medical capsules, expired medications, and various prohibited goods.

The Jordanian Customs confirmed that these efforts are part of protecting the national economy and the health of citizens, reflecting on the individual's health, combating commercial fraud, smuggled materials that violate public health rules, in addition to maintaining justice in the markets and raising awareness about the dangers of smuggling and its negative implications on society and the economy.

The Customs clarified that the success of these operations is due to the close cooperation between the customs and security devices, alongside a true partnership with the citizen who is a fundamental pillar in combating smuggling through providing information that contributes to protecting his health and safety and supporting committed traders.

The Customs emphasized the continuation of imposing control over the markets, drying up the sources of smuggling that directly affect local industries and the national economy, urging citizens to the importance of cooperation and immediate reporting of any activity or violation that may harm the national economy or the health of the citizen, through the toll-free number (105) - the Anti-Smuggling Operations Center.
