Khaberni - The United States has requested the Yemeni government to join the international force set to be deployed in the Gaza Strip as part of President Donald Trump's peace plan.
The United Nations Security Council voted on Monday in favor of Trump's peace plan.
Five Yemeni government sources, including a high-ranking diplomat, a military official, and an official in the Presidential Leadership Council, reported that the Yemeni government has not yet made a decision regarding this matter.
An official in the Presidential Council and the Yemeni diplomat stated that any contribution to the force would be largely symbolic.
A senior military official explained, "Yemen's participation in the international force was discussed with the Americans, but we have not yet received a formal request" to join the force.
