Khaberni - Today, Wednesday, Minister of Local Administration Engineer Walid Al-Masri inspected several municipalities in the Southern Jordan Valley of Karak Governorate, including the municipalities of Ghor Al-Mazra'a and Ghor Al-Safi, as well as the municipalities of Qarqara, Feinan, Wadi Araba, Qatar, and Rahmah in the Wadi Araba district in Aqaba Governorate, to review the infrastructure, the needs of the municipalities, the level of services provided to citizens, and their readiness for winter.

In the Southern Jordan Valley, Al-Masri met with the administrative governor Dr. Munjid Al-Qadi, and also met with the heads of municipal committees, listened to detailed briefings on the current situations, work progress, ongoing projects, financial and administrative procedures, the challenges facing the municipalities, and ways to handle them, emphasizing the importance of intensifying efforts to address urgent needs and improve the level of services.

During his visit to the municipalities of Aqaba Governorate, Minister Al-Masri emphasized enhancing the technical and administrative readiness of the municipalities and strengthening the capabilities of their staff to ensure continued efficient service delivery during the winter season, directing early preparation and effective handling of expected weather conditions.

Al-Masri also checked on the citizens' conditions following the recent weather depression, reviewed critical issues that emerged during the depression, discussed with committee heads the required needs and necessary interventions for addressing them, and stressed the need for swift implementation of preventive measures before the area is affected by upcoming depressions.

The field tour included several sites within the municipal boundaries, where the minister reviewed maintenance work, cleaning of rainwater drainage networks, streams, and torrents, and the overall cleanliness level in streets and service facilities, directing the enhancement of routine maintenance of culverts and improving their readiness for the rainy season.

During the tour, Engineer Al-Masri met with a number of citizens, listened to their service demands and needs, directed the municipalities to follow up on them and find appropriate solutions within available capabilities, contributing to improving the level of services and enhancing direct communication with citizens.

Al-Masri affirmed that the ministry continuously monitors the readiness of municipalities across various regions of the kingdom to ensure the continuity of services and the safety of citizens during the winter season, noting that his tour covered several areas to evaluate the reality of services comprehensively and identify priorities for support and intervention.
