Khaberni - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced on Wednesday the implementation of temporary traffic diversions on Jerash Road (Safoot descent) in both directions, with the aim of installing a metal pedestrian bridge to serve the residents of the area.
The ministry explained in a statement that the work requires the complete closure of the road in both directions during the implementation period, with traffic diversion for those coming from Sweileh roundabout towards Ibrahim Ziyadah Street, and traffic diversion for those coming from Ain Al-Basha roundabout towards Sweileh to Kinaz bin Hussein Street near the Orthodox Church.
These diversions will be applied during the night hours, starting from 2 AM on the upcoming Friday until the morning hours, depending on the working conditions at the site.
The ministry confirmed that the diversions will be implemented in cooperation with the Traffic Department, with all safety measures and requirements provided to ensure the smooth flow of traffic during the work period.
The ministry also urged road users to adhere to the instructions of the field teams and public security officers, and to comply with safe driving rules to ensure their safety and the safety of workers at the site.
