Khaberni - Sources close to the investigation have disclosed horrifying details in the case of the death of a six-year-old girl by her father in one of the areas of the northern desert in Jordan.
Medical sources confirmed that the girl arrived at the hospital deceased, showing signs of brutal torture, according to Roya.
Legal Committee
The sources explained that the autopsy, which was conducted in the presence of the public prosecutor of Mafraq and the head of a specialized legal committee, was to determine the direct cause of death.
The sources specified that the child suffered fatal bleeding as a result of being struck with a "blunt object" on the chest area.
The sources also mentioned the presence of "various bruises on the body, with a broken nose, and a hit on the ear.
Traces of "slaps and smacks of varying ages" on the body were also observed, in addition to old "scars," confirming her exposure to repeated violence over previous periods.
It was also noticed that her hair had been shaved off "in an untidy manner".
The father confesses: "I used to beat her"
A source close to the investigation confirmed that the thirty-year-old father "confessed during questioning" by the public prosecutor of major felonies to having beaten his deceased daughter.
The source noted that the defendant admitted that he "was used to beating his daughter" in the past.
Charging with Intentional Murder
Legally, the public prosecutor decided to charge the father with "intentional murder." He ordered his detention for 15 days extendable, pending investigation in the correction and rehabilitation center.
The public prosecutor of Mafraq had referred the case to the "public prosecutor of the major felonies court" due to the specific jurisdiction for such crimes.
Meanwhile, the General Security Directorate issued an official statement about the incident, clarifying that the girl "was rushed to the hospital from her home and soon succumbed to death."
The statement confirmed that investigations and medical reports verified suspicions of beating leading to death, where "her father was arrested and confessed to beating her."
