Signs that indicate COVID19 and not just a cold

Khaberni - With the cold weather, we are more susceptible to certain diseases. The decrease in temperature, in addition to spending more time indoors with others, facilitates the spread of germs. However, it can be difficult to identify the source of the problem due to overlapping symptoms of COVID with colds and flu.

According to "Souri Life", these diseases cause common symptoms such as: elevated body temperature, headaches, and nausea.

Shortness of breath
However, the British Health Services classify "shortness of breath" as a sign of COVID-19, and not influenza or a cold.

This symptom is more commonly observed in cases of diseases like COVID-19, or respiratory syncytial virus.

Symptoms of COVID-19
• Elevated temperature or chills.

• Persistent cough, which means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or having three or more coughing episodes within 24 hours.

• Loss of or change in the sense of smell or taste.

• Shortness of breath.

• Feeling tired or fatigued.

• Body aches.

• Headache.

• Sore throat.

• Blocked or runny nose.

• Loss of appetite.

• Diarrhea.

• Feeling nauseous.

Doctors say, "Most people feel better within a few weeks, but recovery may take longer. For some, the illness may be more severe, and their symptoms may persist for a longer period."
