Khaberni - Petra has seen a remarkable increase in visits from Arab and foreign artists in recent years. These artists make sure to share their experiences through their digital platforms, thus directly contributing to promoting the site and enhancing its status as one of the most important tourist destinations regionally and globally.
Among the most notable artistic visits the city has recently seen was the visit of Arab artist Kazem Al-Saher, who held a concert in Petra a few days ago amidst significant audience turnout, as well as the visit by Egyptian artist Mohamed Nour, who announced his intention to produce promotional content about the city. Meanwhile, Petra witnessed the presence of the siblings of the late global artist Michael Jackson, along with a visit by American artist Austin Santos, who is followed by more than 30 million people in Latin America.
Petra also hosted an elite group of Arab stars, including Egyptian artist Sameh Hussein, Syrian artist Mohamed Khair Jarrah, Syrian artist Nesreen Tafesh, Syrian artist Nassif Zeytoun, and two years ago, the esteemed artist Mohamed Abdo held a massive concert in Petra attracting a wide audience, included in the Petra Pink Nights Festival were artists Medhat Saleh and singer Reham Abdel Hakim, along with musical performances by Takat band, and a special appearance by artist Faia Younan. This year, international orchestra artist Zeina Barhoum held a spectacular concert in front of the Treasury, in an artistic tableau that blended authenticity and modernity.
Petra continues to attract many Arab and international artistic figures, in addition to regularly welcoming a number of international media delegations from around the world, which contribute to highlighting its historical significance and its tourist allure through major news platforms and global channels.
Dr. Fares Al-Breizat, the Chairman of Petra Region Authority's Board of Commissioners, emphasizes that this artistic and media momentum forms a qualitative addition to the tourism sector, and reflects the city's ongoing activity in the tourism movement, in addition to its significant role in showcasing the unique attributes characteristic of Petra, including its historical heritage, natural diversity, and advanced tourist services.
Al-Breizat pointed out that Petra requires further work in the fields of marketing and promotion, explaining that the authority is currently working on developing this aspect by allocating a suitable budget for marketing during the upcoming year, developing the relevant personnel, launching digital promotional campaigns, signing new twinning agreements with global tourist cities, along with other plans under implementation.
Thanks to this global cultural movement, Petra continues to cement its position as a platform that merges the essence of civilization and the spirit of art, opening its doors to more artists and media delegations to convey the vibrant image of Jordan to the world.
