Project to Replace 32000 Lighting Units in Amman with Smart LED Lights

Khaberni - The Director of Traffic Operations at Greater Amman Municipality, Engineer Shadi Al-Rawabdeh, stated that the Municipality, as a service institution, places the service of the residents of the capital Amman at the top of its priorities.

Al-Rawabdeh explained via Hala radio that the Municipality is currently working on a project to replace the lighting units in the central islands in the capital, with about 32,000 advanced and smart LED lighting units, which can be controlled remotely.

He added that the implementation of the project will begin in January of the upcoming year 2026.

He also indicated that the Municipality continues to rehabilitate tunnels and bridges in the capital, noting that maintenance work on the lighting on Abdoun Bridge began three weeks ago, and it will be fully lit within 14 days.
