Khaberni - The University of Jordan has achieved notable progress in the QS Sustainability Rankings 2026, ranking first locally and 384th globally, up 39 ranks from its position in last year’s edition, where it ranked 423.

A statement from the university on Tuesday said that this progress reflects the ongoing improvement in the university's performance in sustainability, governance, social, and environmental responsibility.

The ranking relies on three main areas, with the University of Jordan's results as follows: Social Impact ranked 431st globally and 10th Arabically, Environmental Impact ranked 422nd globally and 9th Arabically, Governance ranked 324th globally and 7th Arabically.

On the general Arab level, the university ranked 7th Arabically, moving up one place from last year when it was 8th, reflecting improvement in its performance and strategies in sustainability and institutional planning and resource management.

The university stated that these results reflect the University of Jordan's commitment to embedding a culture of sustainability, enhancing its social and environmental impact, and developing its governance system according to best global practices, thereby enhancing its regional and international standing.
