Global Outage Affects Platform X

Khaberni - The X platform (formerly Twitter) was down for tens of thousands of users around the world today, Tuesday, and the disruption lasted about an hour before it began to gradually improve.

Complaints started to escalate quickly from 11:48 UTC (2:48 PM Mecca time), with common error messages such as "Something went wrong" or "Internal Server Error 500" appearing, the homepage ceased updating, and difficulties arose in opening personal profiles or sending tweets.

In the United States alone, the website "Downdetector" recorded over 18,000 reports at the peak, while India experienced thousands of additional complaints, particularly from creators who were unable to access their revenue dashboard.

The primary cause is a significant technical failure at the American company Cloudflare, which provides security and acceleration services for millions of platforms around the world, including major clients such as X itself, as well as ChatGPT and others.

The specialized internet monitoring organization Netblocks confirmed that the problem was purely technical within the global Cloudflare network and was not related to any censorship or country-level internet disruptions.

So far, neither X nor Cloudflare has issued an official statement, but the Cloudflare service status page indicates that engineering teams are working on the solution with external providers, and services have begun to return to normal in most regions, with some slight slowness remaining for a limited number of users.
