Khaberni - Sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Adel Al-Bilbeisi, President of the National Center for the Control of Epidemics and Contagious Diseases, Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan / College of Nursing, in partnership with the Parkinson’s Care Association and the Jordan Islamic Hospital, organized a health awareness event entitled "Color Your Life with Hope". The event targeted supporting Parkinson's patients and raising community awareness of their health and psychological needs.

The event commenced with a speech by His Excellency Dr. Adel Al-Bilbeisi, the patron of the event, in which he emphasized the importance of cooperation between health and academic institutions to serve patients and provide programs that enhance their quality of life.

The program included an educational session presented by Dr. Khaldoun Obeidat, Head of the Nursing Department at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, discussing the psychological aspects supportive of Parkinson's patients. There was also a medical session by Dr. Qais Al-Saadi, a specialist in brain, nerve, and movement disorders – Parkinson's, in addition to a medical dialogue by Dr. Mudhi Al-Haj, a physical therapy specialist, focusing on suitable motor therapy methods for patients.

Dr. Basem Abu Baker, Director of Therapeutic Nutrition at the Islamic Hospital, provided a set of specialized dietary guidelines for Parkinson's patients, while Sakha Company for Nursing Services offered a range of initial and laboratory examinations free of charge to participants.

Nursing College faculty members contributed a series of psychological and cultural activities including wish board, mental contests, silent acting, spot the differences game, know the proverb, balance exercises, move the ball, stone coloring, and a Parkinson’s-special Monopoly game, all aimed to enhance interaction and improve the psychological and motor aspects for the patients.

This event underscored the role of the university and its partners in supporting patients and providing a comprehensive health environment that contributes to improving their quality of life and instilling hope in them.
