Khaberni - In the context of Amman Arab University's focus on enhancing legal and social awareness among its students, the College of Arts and Sciences at the university organized a specialized training workshop titled: "Cyber Crimes", in collaboration with the Justice Center for Legal Aid (JCLA), presented by lawyers Salwa Kfawein and professor Bayan Al-Jabri, and supervised by Dr. Fatima Kassab, head of the Department of Basic Human and Scientific Sciences, professor Farhan Al-Hasban, a faculty member from the Service Courses Department, and Dr. Raida Al-Amari, a faculty member from the Department of English Language and Translation at the College of Arts and Sciences.

The workshop aimed to shed light on the legal and security dimensions of cybercrimes, discuss the most prominent issues and challenges faced by individuals and society in the digital space, and provide students with the necessary knowledge for prevention and protection against these practices. The workshop witnessed significant interaction from the college students during an open discussion session that enriched the workshop content. Professor Al-Jabri provided a comprehensive explanation at the beginning of the workshop about the nature of the Justice Center for Legal Aid (JCLA) and the services it offers, which enhanced the students' understanding of the center's community and legal role.

Lawyer Kfawein presented several main topics, most notably: a precise interpretation of cyber crimes, clarification of the penalties incurred under Jordanian law, and practical guidelines on how to protect oneself in the digital space. She also guided participants on the steps and measures to be taken in case of exposure to such cyber crimes.

At the conclusion, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Khawaldeh, the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Amman Arab University, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the role played by the Justice Center for Legal Aid (JCLA), lawyer Salwa Kfawein, and professor Bayan Al-Jabri for their valuable efforts and the rich educational content they provided. He also affirmed his aspiration to enhance future cooperation and partnership that serves both the academic and civil communities, and expressed his appreciation for the continuous support from the Dean of Student Affairs at the university, which played a major role in the success of the workshop.
